I chose to create a self-portraits that exist through dream-scapes. My current work explores the intersection of women’s bodies in particular the conflicting demands of society. I am interested depicting the body as a vessel and instigator for cultural baggage. These female figures have dried up cracking red clay as face, as if she is morphing into a different higher being. For me this is a place where fiction and reality meet. I referenced a lot from western history and juxtaposed it against our current social issues
